Transport Security Plan Audits
Keeping your Transport Security Program Compliant
Under the Aviation Transport Security Act 2004 (ATSA) and the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 (ATSR), airport operators and certain aircraft operators are required to hold an approved Transport Security Program (TSP), setting out the security measures and procedures they’ll implement to prevent unlawful interference with aviation. Your TSP needs to reflect your organisation’s actual security risk context and comply with the content requirements set out in the ATSR.
Getting your TSP right — and keeping it that way — isn’t a one-off task. It needs to be regularly reviewed, reflect how security is actually managed on the ground, and be able to withstand scrutiny from the Department of Home Affairs and the Inspector of Transport Security.
What We Offer
Airport TSP Audits
We conduct onsite audits of airport Transport Security Programs, assessing both the manual itself and how your security procedures are actually applied in practice.
- Onsite audit of your airport’s security procedures
- Review of your TSP manual against ATSA and ATSR requirements
- Formal audit report, issued as a PDF
TSP Development
Beyond auditing, we can also write your Transport Security Program from the ground up. We’ve developed a TSP for a large freight aircraft operator, building a program that met regulatory requirements while reflecting how their operation actually runs.
- Development of a new TSP tailored to your operation
- Drafted to meet ATSA and ATSR content requirements
- Built around your actual security risk context, not a generic template
Why It Matters
A TSP that looks compliant on paper but isn’t followed in practice leaves you exposed — both to regulatory action and to real security risk. Whether you need an independent audit of an existing Program or a new one developed from scratch, we bring the same rigour to both.
